Body of missing Baramulla youth found in gym

Earlier on 13 December, the parents of the deceased had filed a missing report at Baramulla police station, stating they were unable to contact their son.

Police found the body of Azim Nazir Khan, 25, a resident of Arunbua Boniyar, Uri, who was missing since Thursday, in a gym centre at Azad Gunj Baramulla on Tuesday. 

Working as a gym trainer, Azim, according to police, was employed at Hulak gym centre, Azad Gunj, Baramulla.

Earlier on 13 December, the parents of the deceased had filed a missing report at Baramulla police station, stating they were unable to contact their son. 

Following the complaint, police initiated investigation and searched around the vicinity of the gym centre and other places but could not get any clue. 

On Tuesday, a group of cops during a thorough search of the building found the body of the missing youth hanging from the ceiling in one of the rooms of the gym centre. 

“Circumstantial evidence and injury marks on body suggest it is prima facia a case of homicide and accordingly a case of murder vide FIR 207/2018 under section 302 RPC has been registered in Police Station Baramulla” a spokesperson of Baramulla police said.
