Bollywood actors praise Kashmir at Uri event

Bollywood actors Vicky Kaushal of “Uri: The Surgical strike” fame and Sonal Chauhan today arrived in Uri area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district to participate in a program, ‘Umeed Ki Sehar’ organised by the army.

The General Officer Commanding (GOC), dagger division Baramulla, Varinder Vats, while talking about the event said that the aim of organising an event like “Umeed Ki Sehar’ is to help youth to show their talent at a bigger platform and expose them to the world of entertainment industry so that their talent touches new heights.

   

“The  Umeed Ki Sehar event was a long pending demand of people of Uri town. The talent of youngsters from a remote place like Uri often remains unnoticed. By organising today’s program, we want to provide platform to the youth of this area, so that their talent doesn’t go waste,” said Varinder Vats, on the sidelines of the program.

The visitor Vicky Kasushal, whose career took a new turn after playing lead role in the movie, ‘Uri, The Surgical Strike’, was all praise about the beauty of Kashmir. He said that Kashmir is one of the most beautiful places on earth and he will love to come again to this place. “Kashmir is full of talent. I was happy to witness their talent today. I would love to visit this place again and again and will play my role in pushing the local talent,” said Vicky Kaushal.

The actress, Sonal Chauhan, while showing her enthusiasm on her maiden visit to the Kashmir, said that Kashmir is a beautiful place and in real sense a Jannat. She said her first movie was titled Jannat, however, in real sense she saw Jannat in Kashmir.

While thanking the army for organising such a program, both the actors expressed their desire to visit Kashmir  again. They said they will be always available for any program organised by the army.
