A burglar was arrested and stolen items recovered from his possession in Sumbal, Police said Monday.
Police said that acting on a complaint filed by a shopkeeper Muhammad Lateef Mir, son of Ghulam Muhammad Mir of TrigamSumbal, in which he had stated that on January 9 night some unknown persons looted his departmental store located in Trigam village and decamped with many items, an FIR No 03/2021 was registered at Police Station Sumbal.
According to Police, acting promptly a person Firdous Ahmad Mathanji of AshtangooBandipora was arrested and during questioning he confessed of the crime and upon his confession stolen items were recorded from his possession.
