Conglomerate of militant organizations United Jihad Council (UJC) on Saturday paid rich tribute to militant commander Burhan Wani and his two associates who were killed in a gunfight in South Kashmir on Saturday.

“Wani not only gave sleepless nights to eight lakh Indian armed forces and their supporters but also gave a new lease of life Kashmir freedom struggle,” said Salahuddin in a statement.

In a statement to news agency CNS, Syed Salahuddin, the UJC chief while addressing a high level meeting said that the separation of Burhan and other militants is really painful.

He, however, added that the death of this militant commander (Burhan) will not have any negative impact on the ongoing Kashmir Freedom Movement.

“Burhan defeated the death on several occasions and he showed that a handful of believers of Almighty can break the pride and arrogance of mighty power. Under the banner of Hizbul Mujhadeen, Burhan Wani produced scores of Burhan’s and every drop of his blood will continue to produce thousands of Burhan’s in Kashmir Valley,” Salahuddin said.

Expressing solidarity with the bereaved of families of militants including Burhan, the UJC Chief thanked people of Kashmir for showing great support and love for the freedom struggle. “We assure people of Kashmir that militants will not retreat till freedom struggle is taken to its logical conclusion,” he said and offered special prayers for the departed militants.
