Govt forces conducted house-to-house searches at Cherwan locality in Kangan here on Sunday morning.
Police said that 24 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) , 118 Batalion ofCRPF and SOG of Jammu and Kashmir Police jointly launched the searches atCherwan village .
They said that the house-to-house searches continued formore than two hours in the locality. Later the searches were called off. SSP Ganderbal Muhammad Khalil Poswal saidthat “it was a routine exercise conducted by forces jointly in the area.”
