A cordon-and-search-operation (CASO) was launched at Kahilil village of Tral township of Awantipora police district on Friday after “specific inputs” were received about the presence of militants.
Security forces personnel comprising J&K Police, Army’s42 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) cordoned offthe village and carried out searches for several hours together. All the entryand exit points were sealed.
A senior police official said that it was a “normal practice” by the forces that “concluded peacefully.
