Government forces on Tuesday morning launched a cordon and search operation in Sumlar village of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
An official said a joint team of army’s 14 RR Unit and Bandipora police launched the search operation in Kuta Sathri locality of Sumlar following inputs about the presence of militants in the area.
He said the operation was later called off.
