Government forces on Saturday evening launched a cordon and search operation in Tarzoo area of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
An official said a joint team of the Army’s 52 RR unit, the SOG of Jammu and Kashmir police and the CRPF launched the operation.
He said the operation was launched following “inputs about the presence of militants in the area.” SSP Sopore, Javid Iqbal confirmed that CASO was underway in Tarzoo area.
