Army’s Srinagar based Chinar Corps organised an Eid Milan here, a defence spokesman said in a statement.
He said, “ChinarCorps joined the awaam in celebrating the festivities with traditional gaietyand brotherhood.”
While extending good wishes on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitrthe Chinar Corps Commander, Lt Gen KJS Dhillon conveyed that “I personallyextend my warm greetings on the joyous and auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitrand hope you enjoyed the festivities with your families. We have got togetheras we wanted to celebrate the festival with our larger family. I pray to theAlmighty to shower his blessings on you and your families, may they alwaysprosper and lead a healthy life. Our reason for being here is for peace andbetterment of the awaam. You are our ambassadors and it is your job to conveythis message as far as possible. We all have one life to live and we shouldlive it well with dignity and pride.”
He said that may Almighty Allah bestow us all the strengthto maintain peace in the Valley and provide an environment of growth andsuccess for our future generations. He also conveyed greetings to all membersof the defence establishment and their families and wished them all the successand blessings. The celebrations were attended by more than 600 people who formpart of the Chinar Corps fraternity.
