‘Best option for govt formation in JK is Azad’s grand alliance idea’

Srinagar, Dec 30: Urging Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) not to forge an alliance with BJP, the unregistered ‘Kashmir Citizens Forum’ floated recently, Tuesday staged a protest terming any alliance with BJP unacceptable.
Reports said scores of activists of the “Citizens Forum” assembled at Press Enclave here and staged protest against any possibility of an alliance between PDP and BJP.
The protestors said BJP is a ‘communal’ party which is operating in Kashmir with the sole agenda of abrogating Article 370. The protestors carrying banners said PDP-BJP alliance would prove fatal for the people of Kashmir and PDP should think hundred times before forging an alliance with the BJP.
“The best option for the formation of government led by PDP patron Mufti Muhammad Sayeed is to implement the grand alliance option suggested by Congress senior leader Ghulam Nabi Azad,” said Muhammad Umar, a protestor.
They added that the BJP is backed by RSS and have anti-Kashmir agenda. “We urge PDP to form grand alliance and not to go with BJP,” they said.
Meanwhile, Kashmir Industrial Revival and Development Forum Tuesday appealed Mufti Muhammad Sayeed to make an honorable deal with BJP before forming a government. “KIRDF wants a strong government in the state and only PDP-BJP alliance can give us a strong government. PDP being the pro-people party should make an alliance with BJP without wasting any time,” General Secretary KIRDF Abdul Aziz Ganaie told local news gathering agency CNS.
