Class 12th bi-annual exams commence in Kashmir

The bi-annual private exams of class 12th students commenced on Tuesday in Kashmir division with participation of around 72 per cent students.

The JK Board of School Education (BOSE) had scheduled examination of Englisubject for the students.

   

Joint secretary examination, Prof Aijaz Hakak said around 6515 students had enrolled for the examination in General Englisubject out of which 4717 student appeared in the exam.

He said the exam was conducted as per the Covid19 protocol and the government directions issued from time to time.

“All precautionary measures were taken to avoid spread of COVID19 infection and the exam was smoothly conducted in all the exam centres,” he said.

Also, secretary JKBOSE, Riyaz Ahmad accompanied by Deputy Secretary, Administration Central, Assistant Secretary, Secrecy Central and team of officials, visited the examination centres designated in various schools of Srinagar city to take stock of the necessary arrangements with regard to adherence of necessary SOPs in view of COVID-19 pandemic.

“The examination was scheduled to be held in the March but was postponed due to COVID-19 pandemic,” the official spokesman said.
