Classwork to remain suspended at CUK campuses Nowgam-I, III for 3 days

The students of political science, Suhail Ahmad from Shopian and Ismail from Baramulla were detained during a raid by the forces at their hired accommodation in Nowgam.

The classwork of all the teaching departments in Nowgam-I and Nowgam-III campuses of the Central University of Kashmir (CUK) will remain suspended on November 14, 15 and 16.

A spokesman of the university said the decision has been taken in the wake of the student protests since weekend against the detention of their two class mates.

The students of political science, Suhail Ahmad from Shopian and Ismail from Baramulla were detained during a raid by the forces at their hired accommodation in Nowgam.

An official of the University said Ismail of Baramulla was released by government forces while as Suhail continues to remain under detention.
