Collective effort of NC leaders led to my victory: Masoodi

Senior National Conference leader and former judge Jammu and Kashmir High Court Justice (Retd) Hasnain Masoodi credited his victory from Anantnag parliamentary constituency to National Conference leaders particularly party president Farooq Abdullah and vice president Omar Abdullah.

Talking to KNS after the declaration of the result, Justice (Retd) Masoodi said, “the challenges confronting Kashmir identity were discussed and debated throughout my campaign. I was encouraged by the overwhelming response from the people in every town and village in all the four districts of south Kashmir. In forthcoming Assembly elections people should cast their votes for their empowerment so that anti-Kashmir forces don’t get an opportunity to occupy positions of public representatives.”

He said that “Kashmir’s political identity revolving around Article 370 and Article 35-A is the priority both for him in person and as well as the party.”

He thanked all those who contributed for his victory in the parliamentary elections.
