Concrete steps needed to resolve Kashmir : Geelani

Referring to the statement of Defence Minister, Rajnath Singh in which he had said that Kashmir issue will be resolved soon, Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman, Syed Ali Geelani today said resolutions are sought only for “unresolved issues.”

 Hurriyat chairman ina statement said that “Kashmir is a long pending dispute, live on the UNagenda. It has consumed more than three generations of the state and stillcontinues to threat the existence of yet another generation.”

   

He said, “Kashmir is threat to peace and prosperity of notonly the subcontinent but the whole world as well. Honestly suggesting Delhishould take concrete steps for permanent resolution of this issue and thenfocus on the upliftment of life standard of their poor population.”
