The 2016 batch of undergraduate students Friday accused Kashmir University (KU) authorities of playing with their career by delaying their 5th and 6th semester exams till September.
A group of students said they are at the verge of losing one academic year as KU has decided to delay the exam till September.
“We won’t be able to fetch admissions in universities outside Kashmir if the exams will be delayed as the admission process in outside states starts in June and culminates in August,” the students said.
They said the combined 5th and 6th semester examination of 2015 batch was conducted in the month of June-July, but the varsity is delaying the examination of 2016 batch “unnecessarily”.
They said that KU took two months to conduct examination of one semester which delays the completion of their degrees on time.
They appealed to the varsity authorities to conduct their exams early and declare the results in a stipulated time.
