Congress condemns killing of “PDP activist” in Pulwama attack

Strongly condemning the gruesome killing of “senior PDP activist Gulam Nabi Patel”, a J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) spokesperson expressed “profound grief and sorrow over the killing and described it as highly shameful and dastardly act.”

In a statement issued to the press today, the spokesperson “strongly condemned the killing of PDP activist, saying the killings, in any form, are highly condemnable and must be condemned by every section of the people.”

The spokesperson offered deepest condolences to bereaved family of Ghulam Nabi Patel and sympathized with them.

Curiously though, PDP has said the slain belonged to the Congress party.

In a statement, Chief Minister and PDP president Mehbooba Mufti “condemned the killing of a local Congress activist of Pulwama, Ghulam  Nabi Patel who was killed  this afternoon at Rajpora chowk by un known assailants.”

The Chief Minister has expressed sympathies with the bereaved family and prayed for peace to the departed soul.
