Former chief minister and National Conference vice president Omar Abdullah on Thursday lashed out at the Congress party over its approach towards Jammu and Kashmir.
“It says a lot about the Congress party & its approachto J&K. There hasn’t been a single election meeting by its leadership,”Omar said in a tweet.
He said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and theBharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah did not address the electionrallies in the valley but they have not ignored the state either.
“Contrast this with the number of rallies addressed by Modiji & Amit Shah. They may not have come to the valley but they didn’t ignorethe state,” Omar said.

The Congress was in with a fighting chance in 4 of the 6 seats & in 3 of these the BJP was the main opponent. It’s inexplicable how the BJP was simply given a walkover as far as the optics of the campaign were concerned.
