Cop injured in grenade attack in Pulwama

An official said that a grenade was tossed at a police party that stopped passenger and private vehicles in Haal area of Pulwama for frisking.

A cop was injured after suspected militants tossed a grenade at a police party in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Tuesday.

An official said that a grenade was tossed at a police party that stopped passenger and private vehicles in Haal area of Pulwama for frisking.

“As soon as they stopped a vehicle, the militants on board threw a grenade, resulting in injuries to a policeman,” he said.

The injured cop was identified as Firdous Ahmad.

He was shifted to a hospital in Srinagar for treatment.
