A cotton factory suffered heavy damage in a fire incident in Lar area of this district on Monday.
Reports said that fire broke out in the unit at around 3 pm and engulfed the building. The locals unsuccessfully tried to douse the fire. Later fire tenders reached the spot and doused the flames but couldn’t save the factory. The cause of the fire is believed to be a short circuit. Police have taken cognizance of the incident.
