Court sends Hizb militant to police custody in DSP Davinder Singh case

A Delhi court has sent a Hizb-ul-Mujahideen militant topolice custody till April 4, in connection with a case in which Jammu andKashmir Police officer Davinder Singh was earlier arrested.

Special Judge Gurvinder Pal Singh sent Syed Naveed Mushtaqto custody of police as investigators told the court that he and co-accusedwere planning to execute attacks in the national capital and other parts of thecountry.

   

Police said the accused was required to be confronted withDavinder Singh and other co-accused to unearth the conspiracy.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Davinder Singh wascaught while ferrying two Hizb-ul-Mujahideen militants in a vehicle fromJammu-Srinagar National Highway on January 11.
