MP Ladakh, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal today sanctioned Rs 1 crore from his MPLADS for purchasing immediate medical equipment for both Leh and Kargil District in view of COVID-19 outbreak.
He also donated his one month salary of Rs.1 lakh to the PMNational Relief Funds.
The funds will be utilized by the Deputy Commissioners ofboth the districts of Ladakh for purchase of laboratory equipment andestablishment of Bio Safety Level-3 Testing Laboratory, Infra-Red Thermometers(Non-Contact) The fund will be further used to improve the ICU ventilator andIsolation/Quarantine Wards within their approved facilities. The MP stressedfor establishing the BSL-3 Laboratory on war footing basis.
