Scores of parents on Monday staged a silent protest at Magam, Budgam and demanded evacuation of their kids who completed their quarantine period at Jasalmer Rajasthan.
The parents said the students returned from Tehran University of Medical Science, Iran on March 15 and have already completed 15 days quarantine period at Rajasthan but were not allowed to travel to Kashmir.
“We appeal the administration to intervene into the matter and facilitate the evacuation of these students to Valley. All of them have tested negative but we will still put them for home quarantine. We urge the administration to airlift the students to Kashmir,” a parent said.
Already reported by Greater Kashmir, a group of 120 students reached Rajasthan on March 15 and were sent for quarantine for 14 days.
Meanwhile the parents said they were worried about their well being of their kids given the ongoing nationwide lockdown announced for 21 days.
