The J&K government has warned the teaching staff of the government schools to refrain from speaking against the ongoing government policies and other decisions taken to combat the coronavirus (COVID-19).
The diktat comes in wake of the government decision to engage around 2000 teachers from all districts of Jammu and Kashmir for their assistance of administration in the management of coronavirus (COVID-19).
“It has come to the notice that some lecturers, masters and teachers are giving their statements in social media against the ongoing policies programs and directions of the government there by violating the protocol of being a government employee,” reads a circular issued by joint director school education Jammu division, H R Pakhroo, who is also holding additional charge of Chief Education Officer (CEO) Kathua.
“It is therefore impressed upon all the principals, ZEOs and Headmasters to direct their subordinate staff to refrain from such activities,” the order reads.
He also directed the teaching staff of schools to extend their cooperation which is required by the department in combating the situation that has arisen due to COVID-19.
