COVID-19 management: Refrain from speaking against government policies, Govt cautions teachers

The J&Kgovernment has warned the teaching staff of the government schools to refrainfrom speaking against the ongoing government policies and other decisions takento combat the coronavirus (COVID-19).

The diktat comes inwake of the government decision to engage around 2000 teachers from alldistricts of Jammu and Kashmir for their assistance of administration in themanagement of coronavirus (COVID-19).

   

“It has come to thenotice that some lecturers, masters and teachers are giving their statements insocial media against the ongoing policies programs and directions of thegovernment there by violating the protocol of being a government employee,”reads a circular issued by joint director school education Jammu division, H RPakhroo, who is also holding additional charge of Chief Education Officer (CEO)Kathua.

“It is thereforeimpressed upon all the principals, ZEOs and Headmasters to direct their subordinatestaff to refrain from such activities,” the order reads.

He also directedthe teaching staff of schools to extend their cooperation which is required bythe department in combating the situation that has arisen due to COVID-19.
