Covid-19: Transport authorities directed to sanitise buses in J&K; no license tests till March 31

The Jammu and Kashmir government on Monday directed the transport authorities to undertakesanitisation of the public transport and suspend driving license tests as partof its measures to fight coronavirus outbreak in the Union Territory.

In an order issued on Monday, Pradeep Kumar, Transport Commissioner, J&K, said: “All RTOs/ARTOs shall ensure that the public transport operating in their territorial jurisdictions shall be sanitised with the prescribed disinfectants at regular intervals, as prescribed by the Union Health Ministry. They shall also ensure necessary briefings and sensitization of the drivers/conductors.”

   

“All RTOs/ARTOs shall ensure that no trial test/learning test of the driving licenses shall be conducted till March 31,” added the order.
