Deputy Commissioner, Kulgam Showkat Aijaz Bhat, Friday chaired a meeting of officers to review arrangements put in place to contain spread of coronavirus in the district.
The meeting was attended by ADDC, ADC, JD-Planning, ACR,CMO, MS District Hospital and other officers. During the meeting, the DCreviewed various arrangements which have been already put in place includingfunctioning of 24×7 control room, availability of masks, sanitizers,essentials, status of home delivery of ration, sanitation and fumigation ofpublic places and other related issue. He directed the officers to continuesanitation and fumigation drives across the district to contain the spread ofcoronavirus. The DC directed the officers to inspect pharmacies to check pricesof masks and other essentials and take strict action against hoarders andprofiteers. The officers of PDD were directed to ensure smooth power supplyacross the district by following the power schedule strictly so the people donot face any inconvenience. Notably, strictrestrictions are in place in the district to contain the spread of coronavirusand people have been appealed to follow guidelines of health department and tostay home to break the chain of coronavirus infection.
