A paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) man was injured on Sunday after suspected militants lobbed a grenade at the residence of National Conference leader Muhammad Ashraf Bhat in Tral area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

An official said that a grenade was lobbed at the residence of Bhat in Hamami mohalla area of Tral today.

“A CRPF man, identified as SK Naval Ali of 180 BN was injured in the explosion,” he said, adding that he was shifted to 92 Base Hospital in Srinagar for specialized treatment.

It was not immediately known if Bhat was present inside the house at the time of the attack.
