CRPF widens ambit of its helpline “Madadgaar”

Central Reserve Police Force Monday said that it has widened the ambit of its toll free helpline Madadgaar and people can contact and lodge their grievances on the phone numbers and also through social sites.

According to CRPF spokesman in Srinagar, Sanjay Sharma, Madadgaar operates 24×7 and can be contacted by people, especially Kashmiris, including those living in other parts of India or abroad on toll free number ‘14411’.

   

“Now, people can also lodge their complaints on crpfmadadgaar@gmail.com, Twitter @CRPFmadadgaar and through SMS on 7082814411,” said the spokesman. He said so far 2.6 lakh calls seeking assistance were received on helpline.

CRPF has been operating a helpline by the name MADADGAAR in Kashmir since June 16, 2017. “Madadgaar is a one of its kind Helpline that has been offering common public assistance of all kinds, including issues regarding public utilities, fire emergency, medical emergency, ambulance service, eve-teasing of women, domestic violence, public safety and security, pilgrimage assistance, updates on recruitment, weather, traffic, flights and trains, counseling for drug de-addiction, career and any other issues in state of J&K,” the spokesman said.
