CTA demands restoration of incentives for PhD degrees

Expressing strong resentment over the delay in restoration of PhD and M Phil increments for assistant professors working in various degree colleges of the state, the College Teachers Association (CTA) has appealed the authorities, particularly the Advisor to Governor Khurshid A Ganai and commissioner secretary, Higher Education, Sarita Chouhan to address this genuine concern of the college teaching fraternity without any further delay. 

President CTA Prof Tariq Ashai while chairing a meeting of the association here said that the CTA has been pursuing the matter seriously right from the time when UGC guidelines regarding the restoration of incentives were issued.

   

He expressed anguish over the unnecessary delay in the matter.
