A cyclist was seriously injured when a speedy Tipper hit him at Maidan Chogul here on Wednesday.
An official said the injured was rushed to District Hospital Handwara where after preliminary treatment doctors referred him to SKIMS Srinagar for advanced treatment.
“His condition remains critical,” said the official.
The injured was identified as Bashir Ahmad Kuboo, son of Ghulam Ahmad of Kawari Handwara. A police officer said a case has been registered in this regard.
