Condemning the firing on civilians at Iftaar time at D K Pora in south Kashmir’s Shopian district, the Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) today said, “Such incidents indicate that New Delhi does not need Kashmiri people but it is only interested in the land of Kashmir.”
“People of D K Pora, Shopian, have set an example by refusing ‘Iftaar’ of the forces and this has once again proved that Kashmiri people cannot be lured by these gestures,” a DFP spokesman said in a statement
Terming as ‘futile’ the ‘so called’ gestures like Iftaar parties, the spokesman said, “Jammu Kashmir people are fighting for their right to self determination as promised to them by international community.”
