Deputy Commissioner, Pulwama, Syed Abid Rashid Shah Monday hosted a lunch for 44 orphans and deprived children of Markazi Falah-i-Atfaa, Patal Bagh, Galandar at Circuit House Pulwama.
During interaction the DC advised the children to buildself-confidence and self image. Calling education as an only empowering tool inlife, the DC stressed upon the children to inculcate big ambitions and dream.
The DC enjoined upon the concerned officers to involve thechildren into extracurricular activities like sports, art and public speaking.
He further added that such interactions would pave a pathtowards minimising social inequalities and augmenting inclusiveness.
After having a lunch with the children, DC distributedsports tracksuits among the children and directed the CMO to have an on spotde-worming programme at MFI Patalbagh.
