District Development Commissioner (DDC), Bandipora, Shahbaz Ahmad Mirza Thursday chaired a meeting to review the progress on developmental activities in the district.
The meeting was attended by Additional District DevelopmentCommissioner, Mohammad Yousuf Mir, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Zahoor AhmadMir, and Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Reyaz Ahmad Beigh, among others.
The DDC reviewed the status of macdamisation of variousroads, including Srinagar-Bandipora, Bandipora-Gurez-Tulail, and up-gradationand widening of Bandipora-Sopore road.
He also reviewed the status of under-construction DistrictHospital Bandipora, Badampora-Bandipora Transmission Line and other vitalprojects of public importance.
While discussing some of the languishing projects, themeeting was informed that 90 percent of work has been completed and finishingwork of OT and medical gas pipeline in ground floor is in progress. The meetingalso discussed the status of CHC Hajin, PHC Gund Jahangir, NTPHC Zoormanz, PHCMadwan and NTPHC Dangerpora.
The meeting also discussed the status of existing andunder-construction water supply schemes in the district. It was informed that255 habitations are fully covered under various water supply schemesbenefitting 3.25 lakh souls, while 160 habitations are partially covered sofar.
The DDC also reviewed the education sector, state andcentrally sponsored schemes, agriculture, horticulture, animal and sheephusbandry, fisheries, handloom and handicrafts.
