District development commissioner (DDC) Budgam, Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar today conducted a public darbar at Revenue complex at tehsil Khansaheb and took the first-hand appraisal of public grievances and demands, an offiacil spokesman said.
He said during the darbar various public deputations, which included Ashas and Anganwadi workers, senior citizens and many locals from the areas of Khansaheb, Kaitch, Hawoora, Raiyaar and Kelshipora called on the DDC and raised their demands.
The DDC Budgam stressed on early completion of developmental projects and directed officers to ensure prompt delivery of services to the public. The DDC stressed on the officers to personally visit and take stock of works on ongoing developmental projects and ensure their timely completion.
Later the DDC Budgam conducted surprise checks of various examination centres and health and education institutions to take stock of the arrangements and facilities provided to the students and general public in Khansaheb Budgam. During her inspection to various examination centres, the DDC took stock of various arrangements particularly heating and lighting facilities at all examination centres.
