District Development Commissioner Ganderbal, Hashmat Ali Khan, Wednesday visited Baltal base camp, Domel and Neelgrath Helipad along with team of district officers where he took stock of the arrangements being put in place for smooth conduct of ongoing Amarnath Yatra via Baltal route.
During the visit the DDC took stock of various essentialservices and arrangements including improvements at the access control gates,establishment of camps, shelter sheds along Yatra track, medical camps,availability of labours, pony walas, dandi walas, Emergency Operation Centers(EOCs) at various locations, provision of drinking water supply, fire wood,lighting, LPG, ration and Medicine.
The DDC directed the camp Directors and other functionariesresponsible for sanitation of Yatra track and en-route to closely monitor theday-to-day sanitation work at the Yatra camps, functioning of toilets, bathunits, clean bedding and to maintain close coordination to ensure cleanlinessand hygiene in the Yatra area and the Base camps.
