Development Forum Ganderbal on Tuesday held a protest demonstration here seeking immediate redressal of the various problems confronting the district.
The protest demonstration was lead by scribe and socialactivist Sabir Ayoub.
He said that the Ganderbal district has various developmentalissues adding that the authorities and the successive governments have failedto come up to the expectations of the people.
The members of the forum mentioned that Ganderbal districtis craving for road widening and slow pace of work is adding to woes of thepeople.
Similarly, the non commencement of work on 93 MW NewGanderbal power project, delay in shifting of central university of Kashmir toits permanent campus in Tulmulla Ganderbal besides other issue.
As the protesters tried to march towards Beehama chowk,police swung into action and foiled the march. Chairman of DFG Sabir Ayoub wastaken into custody and later released.
