Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbag Singh Tuesday visited Crime Headquarters and reviewed functioning of the police wing.
The DGP was accompanied by ADGP (Coordination) PHQ, SJM Gillani and IGP (CIV) PHQ Alok Kumar while the review meeting was attended by IGP Crime MK Sinha; SSP Crime Kashmir, Imtiyaz Ismail Parray and officers of Crime headquarter and Crime Branch Kashmir.
SSP Crime Branch Jammu, Shailender Singh and SP Anti Narcotic task force Jammu, Vinay Sharma and other officers attended the meeting though video conferencing.
The meeting deliberated upon functioning of different wings of Crime Branch and the issues along with different proposals with regard to infrastructure and staff.
The IGP Crime Branch, J&K, gave a detailed power point presentation regarding the functioning of Crime Branch. He also briefed the DGP about the preliminary verifications, FIRs under investigation, cases challaned and conviction rate.
He highlighted various proposals and requirements of Crime Branch to tackle economic offences, cyber crime and for building capacity as well as infrastructure development. The DGP expressed his satisfaction over the functioning of the Crime Branch and its different wings.
