Director General of Police, Dilbag Singh, Monday sanctioned welfare relief and loan of over Rs 3 crore in favour of 316 police personnel.
The assistance has been sanctioned out of the contributoryCentral Police Welfare Fund, a statement read, adding that a loan of Rs 1 lakheach has been sanctioned in favour of 297 police personnel.
Similarly, welfare relief has been sanctioned in favour ofnineteen personnel at different rates. The relief has been provided for theirself treatment or the treatment of their dependents and the monetary assistancewill not be recovered, the statement read.
Under the welfarescheme, the Police Headquarter has sanctioned Rs 10.58 crore welfare loan infavour of 1043 police personnel during the year 2019.
