Director Anti Corruption Bureau, J&K, Anand Jain, met Governor Satya Pal Malik at the Raj Bhavan here on Tuesday, an official spokesman said.
Jain briefed Governor about functioning of the Bureau andabout the work being done to investigate complaints of corruption and take themto their logical end.
Governor advised the Director ACB to launch a vigorouscampaign for the offenders to be brought to book. He strongly emphasised thecrucial importance of eradicating corruption in an effective and meaningfulmanner as a pre- requisite for ensuring good governance in the state.
Meanwhile, former minister and senior Peoples Conference leader Imran Raza Ansari also called on Governor Pal Malik at Bhavan here and discussed with him various issues of public importance, the spokesman added.
