Director General CRPF reviews situation in Kashmir

Srinagar, Jan 7: Director General of Central Reserve Police Force, Prakash Mishra Wednesday reviewed the law and order situation in Kashmir.
Mishra is on two day visit to Kashmir. This is his maiden visit to Kashmir after taking over the charge of DG CRPF in December last year.
According to CRPF Public Relations Officer, Kishore Prasad on Tuesday a brief about the situation in Kashmir was given to the DG by KS Bhandari, IGP, CRPF Srinagar.
Later the DG visited the units deployed in north Kashmir districts of Baramulla and Kupwara. In the evening he had interaction with the CRPF and J&K police officers of Srinagar.
He said On Wednesday Mishra, visited the units deployed in the downtown area of Srinagar. He interacted with the officers and men on the ground and appreciated the efforts of CRPF in containing militancy and effectively handling the law and order situation in Kashmir.
He also appreciated all the officers and men for conducting successful Assembly elections in JK. He was accompanied by special DG JK Zone RC Tayal, IGP (operations) Zulfiquar Hassan and KS Bhandari, IGP Srinagar sector.
