‘Discharge duties independently, impartially and without fear and favour’

Administrative Judge for District Srinagar and Chairman Building and Infrastructure Committee for subordinate Courts of Kashmir Division, Justice Ali Muhammad Magrey Thursday interacted with the judicial officers in Ganderbal and asked them to discharge their duties independently, partially and without any fear and favour.

Convening a meeting to review infrastructure matters for the district judiciary Ganderbal, he said that a meeting would be convened by the Registrar General High Court of J&K with the Commissioner Secretary to Government of J&K Revenue Department, Commissioner Secretary to Government Law Department, Custodian General, Deputy Custodian Kashmir, Principal District and Sessions Judge Ganderbal, DDC Ganderbal and President, Bar Association Ganderbal to sort out pending issue regarding the transfer of identified chunk of  evacuee property measuring  45 to 55 kanal of land situated at Ganderbal near SP office.

   

He passed on-the-spot directions regarding the holding of the proposed meeting of these officers. Justice Magrey also desired that the construction of access control shed and the sentry post on the main gate of the court complex would be undertaken by the District Police office out of security-related funds.

He also desired that the minor repairs and renovation matters touching the convenience of the bench and bar should be undertaken as a routine matter by the DDC and the R&B Division Ganderbal. He was given a guard of honour by the district police on the occasion.

Among others, the meeting was attended by District Development Commissioner Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal; Principal District and Sessions Judge Ganderbal, Muhammad Yousuf; Executive Engineer R&B Division Ganderbal; judicial officers and members of Executive Committee of Bar Association besides other officers.
