Display our merit: JE aspirants to SSB

A delegation of aspirants said that ‘SSB had advertised posts under three advertisement notices and conducted single written test for them and a number of candidates were shortlisted.

Aspirants of junior engineer posts for two technical services have criticised the selection procedure adopted by Services Selection Board and demanded rectification of the method so that they could make a better choice.

A delegation of aspirants said that ‘SSB had advertised posts under three advertisement notices and conducted single written test for them and a number of candidates were shortlisted. The selected candidates were interviewed separately for posts meant for PWD (R&B) department and PHE/I&FC department.

However, they said, many candidates have qualified for more than one services and SSB has asked them to make known their preferences so that repetitions are avoided. “Candidates, featuring in more than one selection list would naturally prefer the list in which their merit is higher to ensure their seniority in future but it is not possible because SSB hasn’t displayed merit list,” said the aspirants, demanding display of their merit so that they could decide better.
