Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Pandurang K Pole Monday flagged off DDC chairpersons and vice-chairpersons to Jammu for a two-day training programme.
An official spokesman in a statement issued here said that the divisional commissioner interacted with the participants and urged them to make best use of the training programme.
The training programme organised by the Rural Development Department and Panchayati Raj J&K would be held at Convention Center Jammu from March 9 to 10.
The participants include elected members and CEOs from various DDCs hailing from Kupwara, Baramulla, Bandipora, Budgam and other districts of Kashmir division.
Director Rural Development Kashmir, District Panchayat Officer, Srinagar, Kupwara (who have been designated as nodal officers to accompany the participants) and other officials of the Rural Development Department were present on the occasion.
