Div Com reviews COVID-19 preparedness at KU’s Zakura campus

The Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Pandurang K Pole Saturday visited University of Kashmir’s Zakura campus to review preparedness and arrangements in the institution for future exigency vis-a-vis COVID -19 preparedness.

He inspected the campus and reviewed all facilities whichare required for coronavirus suspected persons as per advisory.

   

The Divisional Commissioner directed officers to ensure allarrangements for coronavirus suspects which include proper sanitation,fumigation, sensitization, adequate stocks of masks, personal protectionequipment, testing facilities, besides quarantine and isolation wards and otherlogistic support were in ready mode, for future exigency.

Later, the Divisional Commissioner visited PsychiatricHospita to review functioning of the health institution.

He inspected various sections of the hospital and inspectedfunctioning and delivery of healthcare facilities to the patients.

He was informed that hassle-free medicare facilities wereavailable for patients. Pole directed officers to provide best treatment to thepatients.

Director Health Services, Dr Sameer Mattoo, Principal GMC,Dr Saima Rashid, Deputy Director Health Services and other officers accompaniedthe Divisional Commissioner.
