DPL Pulwama attack: Operation over, bodies of all three militants recovered

A police official said here that the bodies of all three militants had been recovered and they were foreigners. They were identified as Abu Saad, Dawood and Al Bakr - of Jaish-e-Muhammad outfit, he said.

The operation inside a district police complex in south Kashmir’s Pulwama ended today where three militants had launched a deadly suicide attack which left eight forces’ personnel, including four CRPF men, dead. 

A police official said here that the bodies of all three militants had been recovered and they were foreigners. They were identified as Abu Saad, Dawood and Al Bakr – of Jaish-e-Muhammad outfit, he said.

Four CRPF troopers and as many Jammu and Kashmir Police personnel had lost their lives in the ‘fidayeen’ attack. 

The militants had stormed into the district police lines complex in Pulwama, 25 km from here, at the crack of dawn yesterday.

Reports said that the slain militants were buried in Baramulla district of north Kashmir.
