Dr Abdul Ahad’s demise condoled

Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) today held a condolence meeting at Government Medical College (GMC), Srinagar here to mourn the demise of Dr Abdul Ahad, former Professor and head of department of Anatomy.

Dr Ahad breathed his last today at Noida, after a prolonged illness. He was 74. Expressing profound grief and sorrow, DAK President Dr Nisar ul Hassan prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and conveyed heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family.

   

A medical luminary, Dr Ahad passed his MBBS from GMC Srinagar and after completing his post graduation joined as a faculty member and later went on to became Professor and head of the department of anatomy at GMC.

Calling the death as an irreparable loss, the DAK President termed Dr Ahad’s death as great loss to medical fraternity which has created an unbridgeable void in the field of medicine.

“He always stood as a helping hand for needy and poor,” said Dr Nisar. Azad Zargar Memorial Research foundation patron Khurshid Zargar has also expressed condoled demise of Dr Ahad and expressed sympathies with the bereaved family.
