Dr Farooq, Omar, Mehbooba, Faesal greet people on eve of Shab e Qadar

Jammu and Kashmir National Conference president Dr Farooq Abdullah and vice president Omar Abdullah, president of Peoples Democratic Party, Mehbooba Mufti and  president of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Movement (JKPM) Shah Faesal have greeted people on the eve of Shab e Qadar.

In a joint statement Dr Farooq and Omar prayed for the peaceand prosperity of the state and urged the Governor’s administration to ensureall basic and effective facilities to the devotees at all shrines and mosquesacross the state.

   

Meanwhile Dr Farooq in his message on the on the Annual Urs(Youm e Visal) of Hazrat Alamdar e Kashmir Sheikh Nur Ud Din Noorani (RA)  said that Kashmir had a history and that itwas defined by Sufism. “Hazrat Sheikh Nur Ud Din Wali Reshi (RA) is unarguablythe most influential saint of Kashmir whose saying is imprinted on the heartsof Kashmiri.”

MEHBOOBA MUFTI

Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidentand former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti also greeted people on blessed eve ofShab-e-Qadar.

In her message, Mehbooba said that while whole of  Ramadan is the month of prayers, forgiveness, compassion and Allah’s mercy, Shabe Qadr comes with the choicest blessings of Allah for mankind.

Mehbooba asked people to join her in her prayers that thisnight ushers in the times of peace and prosperity for the people of state.

SHAH FAESAL

Shah Faesal also greeted the people of Jammu and Kashmir onthe occasion of Shab-e-Qadar. In his greetings message, Shah Faesal whilehighlighting the significance of Shab-e-Qadr, said that it was on this nightthat Holy Qur’an was first revealed on the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). He saidMuslims regard this as the most important event in the Islamic history as theQur’an says that this night is better than a thousand nights of worship.

Shah Faesal prayed that this holy night may prove harbingerof peace and prosperity in the turmoil ravaged state. He also appealed to theMuslim Ummah to pray for the end of ongoing violence in the state and help thepeople in need.
