Drive started against encroachers in Baramulla

Latter deputy commissioner Baramulla held a meeting with the transporters and asked them to cooperate with the district administration so that the town does not face problem of frequent traffic jams.

In a bid to clear the town of encroachers and frequent traffic jams, the district administration Baramulla, started a drive here on Saturday.

 

The drive was initiated under the chairmanship of Additional deputy commissioner Baramulla, Riyaz Ahmad Shah.

 

The anti encroachment officials vacated the vendors from the main Chowk and tehsil road of the town.

The authorities here claim to continue with the drive until every nook and corner encroached is freed. "

 We are devising traffic management policy and simultaneously encroachers will not be allowed to continue with the illegal practice" Riyaz Ahmad said.

"The frequent traffic jam problem in the town will be solved soon. We are in the process of devising a policy so that frequent traffic jams don’t occur here" Said Talat Parvez, Deputy Commissioner Baramulla.
