Driver held for violating lockdown order, vehicle seized

A driver was arrested and his vehicle seized for violating the lockdown order in Uri town of this northern Kashmir district, on Wednesday.

A police official said Farooq Ahmad Sheikh of Nambla villageof Uri was found violating the restrictions by moving out in his vehicle, Sumo(JK05B-7554). The police arrested the driver and seized his vehicle, said theofficial. He said an FIR (No 31/2020) was registered at police station Uri.

   

Meanwhile, taking notice of reports of some shopkeepers andwholesale dealers taking advantage of the situation and selling products atexorbitant rates police arrested a shopkeeper and a wholesale dealer here.  The arrested were made by a team led byStation House Officer Baramulla, Syed Gazanfar. The police identified theaccused as Nissar Ahmad Dhobi and Mehraj-U-Din.
