Police in its recent action against drug dealings in Handwara arrested a notorious drug peddler and recovered contraband substance from his possession.
In a statement issued, police said that officers at a checkpoint established in Beighpora jurisdiction of Police Station Kralgund intercepted an individual identified as Lateef Ahmad Dar resident of BeighporaKralgund. Police said that during checking officers were able to recover 35 grams of Heroin from his possession. He has been arrested and shifted to Police Station Kralgund where he remains in custody.
Accordingly, case under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Kralgund and investigation in the matter has been initiated.
