Jammu and Kashmir Police on Monday said that it arrested a drug peddler at a checkpoint and seized contraband substance and Rs 15,500 from his possession.
A police spokesman said that officers at the checkpointseized 130 grams of Charas and cash Rs 15,500 was recovered from hispossession.
Case FIR No 18/2019 under relevant sections of law has beenregistered at Police Station Lal Bazar and investigation has been taken up, hesaid. thespokesman urged the community members to come forward with any informationregarding drug peddlers in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in drugpeddling will be dealt as per law.
